This is the first organic image I've modeled using any 3-D package. After a brief hiatus from CGI, I resumed last week. The petals were constructed and arranged in four layers in Rhino, then saved as two objects for export to LightWave 5.5. About 450k polygons went to complete the image. Construction took about two hours, rendering in LightWave took about 15 minutes on a Quantex graphics workstation. Finish work was done in Photoshop 4.
