TubularStuff by Renaud Delcuze
This was modeled with Rhino. A scene with such numerous tubular objects wouldn't really be possible with meshes. I don't know how many tube shapes there are here. There are three images in texture for each dark tube shape (texture + bump + reflection), one reflection map for the gold material, texture map + bump on the floor, and shadows for all these tubes. Only three minutes of rendering and I don't use a render farm, just one Ppro 180.
